A beautiful, deep green black hills spruce from Kaleidoscope Farms in Hancock County was selected as this year’s Grand Champion Christmas Tree at the Ohio State Fair.
“We
really enjoy taking a tree to the State Fair because it is a fun way to showcase
the hard work that goes into growing high quality Christmas trees,” said Dave
Reese, owner of Kaleidoscope Farms. “We entered one tree this year and were
fortunate that it was selected for the top prize. It is a real honor.”
The
tree was also the champion spruce in the competition of trees submitted from
around the state. The Grand Champion Christmas Tree from Kaleidoscope Farms was
on display throughout the Ohio State Fair in the Ag and Hort Building at the
Ohio Christmas Tree Association display.
Kaleidoscope Farms also had the Ohio State Fair
Grand Champion Christmas Tree in 2004 with a white pine entry and the Reserve
Champion in 2012 with a Canaan fir.
